TMB offers products and services to entertainment production and staging professionals, as well as architectural lighting specifiers and designers worldwide. With offices in Los Angeles, London, New York, Toronto, Beijing, and Riga, TMB sells and supports a wide range of leading brands, many of which are highly technical and proprietary.

We are currently seeking a Receptionist/Customer Service Representative in our Los Angeles Headquarters located in San Fernando, CA.

Ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and a self-starter. Must be an excellent communicator, both over the phone and in person, and an independent worker who follows through and enjoys multi-tasking.

  • Answer and direct incoming general and customer service calls.
  • Greet and direct offices visitors.
  • Assit with mail sorting and distribution.
  • Monitor and replenish office supplies.
  • Work closely with Sales Support Dept. to ensure all orders are handled.
  • Work with Shipping on orders. Generate shipping paperwork for outbound orders. Process Ship Date Changes daily.
  • Check sales orders being shipped for procedural compliance.
  • Enter sales orders and process into Invoices.
  • Field and research questions from other departments.
  • Back-Up Sales Support dept. by entering orders, writing up sales quotes, etc.
  • Process Credit Cards.
  • Create Packing/Weight List for all foreign shipments not going via FedEx.
  • Enter new customers / edit customer files in computer database.
  • Help plan and organize internal company events.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Strong verbal communication skills. English/Spanish preferred
  • Experience answering phones and directing calls
  • Proficient using computer and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Comfortable with multitasking
  • High level of tact and confidentiality
  • Ability to learn quickly and develop new skills
  • Proactive problem solver and willing to help

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (occasional overtime during peak times)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
