Job description
Job Purpose: To coordinate the movement of product and raw materials on the production floor as well as the shipping and receiving area of the warehouse. This position has a particular focus on receiving products and raw materials from shipments.
Duties:
· Oversees the receiving activities of materials and product from shipments by counting the quantity, performing quality control checks and inspecting materials for damage during shipment, processing damaged product, and keeping track of all orders as they are received by filling out appropriate paperwork and updating computer records on inventory
· Works with Production Leads and Logistics Supervisor to ensure the coordination and flow of raw materials and product to keep productivity at a high rate
· Operates a forklift in a safe manner in order to load and unload materials and maintain the warehouse inventory
· Assists with receiving product from shipments by counting the quantity, performing quality control checks and inspecting materials for damage during shipment, processing damaged product, and keeping track of all orders as they are received by filling out appropriate paperwork and updating computer records on inventory
· Verifies computations against physical count of stock and participates in physical inventory counting and cycle counts
· Performs data entry functions and enters all orders in IRP/MRP system; creates signs and notifications for product
· Loads and unloads materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles; stacks or piles materials, such as pallets
· Complies with all company health and safety rules, policies, regulations and cleanliness requirements; maintains quality service by following organization standards
· Remains flexible as needed to perform roles working in other departments or production cells to assist with various work tasks
· Performs KABAN functions and places product on shelves with proper identification; collects finished goods from production to be processed and packaged for shipment; replenishes raw materials to production cells for assembly, Fulfillment including channels and rails
· Labels packages for shipment and straps boxes securely for safe travel to the customer location; makes delivery notes and updates records in computer system of fulfilled product orders
· Receiving/pick up of raw materials for production
· Delivery/shipment of finished goods
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Skills/Qualifications:
· At least three (3) years of experience working in a warehouse setting
· High School Diploma or GED, or at least an additional three (3) years direct experience may be substituted
· Current Driver’s License
· Forklift Certified
· Ability to manage the tasks of others, work at a fast pace and in a congenial manner
· Ability to multi-task and has a high attention to detail
· Extremely high organizational skills
· Basic mechanical and mathematical skills
· Basic computer skills
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills and ability to problem solve
· Able to handle the physical requirements of the position, which include the ability to stand for long periods of time, and ability to bend, sit, lift, reach, and stoop
· Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs. routinely, and lifting up to 100 lbs. occasionally
· Exposure to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, extreme temperatures and hazardous materials
· Good vision, memory and listening skills are essential
