Join our Radiology Team at Elizabethtown Community Hospital (ECH) as a Radiology Scheduler! We are seeking an administrative professional with great customer service skills to support our team in scheduling/organizing the plethora of appointments our Radiology patients need. JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Radiology Scheduler is responsible for clerical duties needed in scheduling a patient for a Radiology exam.

The Radiology Scheduler works collaboratively with the Radiology departments to assure efficient and effective operations, while maintaining confidentiality of all patients’ records, medical treatment and diagnosis, and abiding by the policies and procedures of the department.

The position requires filling in as the Radiology Clerk at the Elizabethtown and Ticonderoga campuses as needed.

Works under the general supervision of the Director of Radiology.
QUALIFICATIONS & JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Schedule imaging studies in the Radiology Information System for both Ticonderoga and Elizabethtown campuses

Verify any necessary preauthorization requirements are met

Review screening questions with patients and enter response in Radiology Information System

Calling outside institutions for known relevant prior studies
-
Assist with answering incoming phone calls

When filling in as Radiology Clerk, greeting patients, entering any paper orders in the Electronic Health Record and scheduling

Help with transferring studies electronically
WORK LOCATION NOTE:
Primarily work location is planned to be based out of Elizabethtown Community Hospital. May provide coverage at the Ticonderoga Campus as well.
