As a Product Technician you will In-process test and inspect. You will audit pre-start, start-up, set-up processes for completeness. You will assist with factory acceptance tests and or final inspection and test syllabuses from quality assurance. You will perform machine, testing demonstrations for observers such as 3rd party inspectors, servicemen. You will provide technical support for testing and commissioning on customers locations world wide; must be able to travel internationally. You will provide improvement recommendations based on test results and observations to appropriate departments.
- SPECIFIC DUTIES:
o Audit mechanical start up and assist in route course analysis for any test failures.
o Assist machine function testing and assist in route course analysis for any test failures.
o Assist QA audit of machine functionality / quality, and workmanship quality.
o Work toward continues improvement of machines functionality and quality.
o Be able to work with customer on site and or at customer locations.
o Be able to work with engineering on continues improvement of machines.
o Work toward product and production standardization.
- TRAVEL
o Must be able to travel nationally and internationally.
1st Shift 6am-2pm
You will have a High School Diploma, preferred some college in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. 3- 5 years of familiarity with Harsco Rail product family. You must have basic understanding of Jupiter control system and be able to get to an advanced level in 12 months. You must be a B class or higher in preferred discipline and be able to perform to an A class in preferred and a B class in secondary discipline within 36 months Ability to effectively plan and organize.
You must have the ability to work safely and in a safe manner. You must be trained or first time trainable in track safety (FRA card)
