Quality Assurance Representatives - QAR (USACE Experience Required) Alaska
Job description
Engineering & construction management company is currently hiring multiple full-time,on-site Quality Assurance Representative/Construction Inspectors to support construction projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Alaska District. This position shall have knowledge of construction crafts since the USACE three-phase inspections shall be made to verify that the specified workmanship is obtained as well as good written communication and organizational skills. QARs shall be at a minimum responsible for the following deliverables:
Project Engineer shall be at a minimum, responsible for the following deliverables:
- Written QA daily reports to document all activities observed for each on-site day in sufficient detail to support three-phase inspection system; review and analysis of construction contractor progress, testing, performance; and safety
- Review of design, comment logging and back-checking; and progress payments
The Project Engineer will need to have construction administration experience with capability of handling large projects of moderate complexity. Travel will be required.
This position is subject to contract award.
Period of Performance: 4-year base period to start in Q1 2023.
Place of Performance: The work may include, but not limited to, JBER, Fort Wainwright, Fort Greely, Clear AFS, Eareckson AFS as well as locations located in the following regions of Alaska; Far North (such as Barrow and Nome), Southwest (such as Dutch Harbor, Dillingham), Interior (such as Chena and Fox), Southcentral (such as Homer, Kenai, Seward) or Southeast (such as Petersburg) Alaska.
This is a journeyman level position and requires experience performing the following duties: submittal review, quality verification, validating contractor pay requests, and preparing daily reports. Travel will be required.
Qualifications:
- Requires at a minimum 3 years with a Bachelor Degree or 7 years (high school) of experience with some technical training or the equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience enforcing all applicable OSHA rules and regulations.
- Quality Assurance Representative must have at least three (3) years of experience performing quality assurance verification on construction contracts.
- US Army Corps of Engineers and/or Department of Defense project experience is required.
