An Aerospace Distribution Company in the Santa Clarita Valley is seeking an Inspector C to join the QA team!

$17-$21 DOE

Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm

Key Responsibilities

· Perform dimensional and visual inspection of products using micrometers, calipers, thread gages, optical comparator, and other standard inspection equipment
· Read and interpret fastener drawings such as MS, NAS and AS standards, customer drawings, supplier drawings, and related specifications
· Create master inspection records
· Review certification packages for completion, legibility, traceability, and accuracy
· Accurately measure and document all inspection and verification activities
· Accurately document any nonconformances detected
· Read, understand, and follow internal instructions and policies
· Communicate with the department supervisor and other inspectors, ask questions, learn, and gain experience, knowledge, and skills in this role

Background Experience and Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Pass the required yearly visual requirements

· Basic computer skills

· Ability to understand instructions given in verbal or written form

· The ability to work as part of a team

· The ability to lift/move 30 pounds

· Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages

· Ability to speak, read, and write to clearly and effectively communicate with customers, team mates and other internal departments

· Good attitude and willingness to learn and develop/improve inspection skills

· Good organizational and communication skills

· Ability to meet deadlines of assigned jobs while maintaining integrity of the position

· Ability and willingness to work overtime

· Self-motivated, analytical, good time management, detail oriented and thorough
