Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in business or healthcare related fields. Five (5) years of full-time, directly related industry experience, including two (2) years of experience in healthcare quality assurance. Experience performing audits. Project management experience. Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in related fields. Additional three (3) years of full-time quality assurance and auditing experience. Experience in risk management and FWA risk assessment and management. Experience using statistical analysis programs to report descriptive data and analyze trends. Experience in leading projects and teams. Experience utilizing QA/CQI tools.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Quality Assurance and Compliance Analyst will be responsible for performing quality initiatives for the WTC Health Program, with a critical focus on ensuring that audits and federal government mandates are successfully completed. The Quality Assurance and Compliance Analyst will work closely with the Health Informatics team and upper management to perform audits and quality assurance activities that will enhance operations and meet Program needs. Prevention, detection, mitigation and reporting on FWA and other compliance issues is paramount. The incumbent must possess excellent writing and presentation skills. They must possess sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and a strong operational focus and have the ability to lead others in a collaborative effort. They must be capable of completing tasks in a face paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Duties:
- Participate in the detection, investigation and ongoing monitoring of quality, through random audits, data analysis, medical record review and onsite and desk audits.
- Collect and compile statistical quality data. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system. Document internal audits and report outcomes of quality assurance activities. Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions based on investigative findings.
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers.
- Other duties as assigned.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
**The incumbent must be willing to work and travel between the Mineola and Commack clinic locations. Occasional Evenings and Saturdays will be required.
