Purchasing Agent

Hall Industries Equipment Division is currently looking for a full-time Purchasing Agent. The position is located in Ellwood City, PA.

Purchasing Agent Job Duties:

· Evaluate the material requirements for new production orders by analyzing drawings, bills of materials and purchase requisitions.

· Work with Project Managers to perform material take offs and bid inquiries.

· Prepare Request for Quote documentation and solicit vendors/suppliers for pricing.

· Produce bid tabulations and review with stakeholders to make cost effective purchasing decisions.

· Prepare and submit purchase orders to suppliers. Revise purchasing documents as needed and ensure timely and accurate receipts.

· Expedite existing purchase orders to maintain schedule.

· Perform regular review and maintenance of open purchase orders. Initiate action as required to reconcile outstanding orders.

· Develop new vendors/suppliers to ensure material acquisition provides a competitive advantage and pre-qualify new vendors to ensure they possess any certifications or credentials to meet project requirements.

· Maintain and grow relationships with existing suppliers.

· Monitor shop and office supplies and create restocking orders as needed.

Purchasing Agent Job Requirements:

· 5 years purchasing experience in Steel Manufacturing Environment or 10 years experience general purchasing experience

· Microsoft Excel, Word and Projects

· Experience in Global Shop or similar

Purchasing Agent Desired Skills:

· Ability to work well with a team

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Detail oriented for complete project duration

· Ability to manage multiple tasks

· Good understanding of shop drawings

· Ability to do material take-offs

· Blue print reading
