Hello,
My name is Naomi, and I'm working with a Plasma Donation Center in Greenwood, IN. We’re looking for a Center Physician (MD/DO) to join our team! Your responsibilities would include chart review, lab analysis, and clinic oversight.

We are a state-of-the-art global healthcare company leading the fields of blood banking, transfusion, protein therapies, and lab analysis. We collect human plasma from paid donors to create life-saving pharmaceutical products such as clotting factors, immunoglobulins, and albumin for patients who suffer from bleeding disorders, immune system deficiencies, burns, and shock.
The Center Physician will:
  • Be knowledgeable with all medical aspects of the contracting facility’s operation.
  • Read and understand current contracting facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Medical Affairs Guidance (MAG), and FDA and other regulations that pertain to the areas in which he/she is responsible, and follow these procedures/regulations as written.
  • Have a working knowledge of OSHA’s Blood-Borne Pathogen regulations, CLIA ’88 regulations, and current Good Manufacturing Practices, which are applicable to his/her responsibilities.
  • Be comfortable in representing his/her duties in the plasma contracting facility during regulatory inspections, if requested.
  • Resolve questionable medical issues regarding donor health and eligibility in accordance with the contracting facility’s procedures, and his/her professional judgment. The Medical Director or designee will be available for assistance.
  • Meet with the contracting facility Manager and other appropriate staff, ideally on a weekly basis, to discuss and provide advice on medically related issues. These meetings will also give the Center and staff the opportunity to advise the Clinic/Center Physician of changes in regulations and/or SOPs, as well as to keep him/her informed of other contracting facility-related activities and issues.
  • Be familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the Medical Support Specialist, and serve as a mentor and educator.
  • Conduct Clinic/Center Physician training and staff education in medically related areas as needed.
Compensation:
Starting $125/hr
Schedule:
The schedule is 2 days per week on site for 4-8 hours; flexible and 30 days in advance for your convenience. Specific hours and days would be determined between you and the center management team.
Center Hours:
  • Sunday - 8am-3pm
  • Mon - 8am-3pm
  • Tues-Thurs - 6am-7pm
  • Fri - 9am-5pm
  • Sat - 7:30am-5:30pm
Qualifications:
  • Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Indiana.
  • Basic computer skills, Management, leadership, teaching.
