Property Accountant
Hawthorne Residential Partners is a Greensboro, NC based Multifamily Management Company that is looking to add a Property Accountant to its team. The Property Accountant position oversees the complete financial cycle for 8-10 multifamily communities.
Primary responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Review financial package (GL, budget comparison, and 12 month rolling) for required reclasses, accruals, and explanations
- Complete bank reconciliations monthly for all property accounts
- Monthly review of the Balance Sheet
- Distribute monthly financial reporting package to owners
- Cash management for all properties in portfolio
- Complete quarterly reporting as needed
- Provide Yardi and Accounting support to site teams
- Build positive working relationships with site and regional teams

Other Requirements:
- Schedule is 7:45/8:45am to 4:45pm/5:45pm Monday through Friday. Extended hours may be required during peak periods to meet business needs. This position is an in-office role.
- Physical requirements include but are not limited to the ability to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, vendors and service providers. Must be able to see, hear, talk, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. as needed.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Accounting Internship, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- General Ledger, Yardi, and intermediate Excel experience is preferred.
- Pre-Employment Testing includes drug test, background screening, and successful completion of a personality and basic skills assessment.
