Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Project Material Control (PMC) Analyst to work onsite at our North Berwick, Maine office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Approve and Convert Engineering Memos for ordering developmental hardware produced by suppliers and within PWA shops.
  • Maintain material databases to allow proper transfer of hardware between engine programs to finished stores or Engine Centers.
  • Assure developmental hardware is stored properly and available to be withdrawn for manufacturing. Engineering inspections or engine assembly needs.
  • create work order hourly charging instruments to allow production shops to inspect & work developmental hardware.
  • Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Engineering, Shop Materials and warehouse personnel to allow in-house manufacture to progress unheeded.
  • Provide logistic and inventory information to support to CIPT/IPT’s and industrial managers as required.
  • Provide support for PMC co-workers, supervisors and manager as required.
  • Work with North Berwick Business Unit management to progress and deliver development hardware and assist with shipping and logistics as needed.
  • Lead efforts to address issues impeding flow of development hardware throughout manufacturing.
  • Assist Parts Center in executing Shop Assists for Development Hardware.
  • Report status of the manufacturing of development hardware to Component Integrated Product Team / Integrated Product Team (CIPT/IPTs).
  • Actively participate on Core.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience.
  • Experience in a materials, logistics, project engineering or production control
  • Ability to work effectively across disciplines: Engineering & B.U. Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Warehousing & Materials, Quality Assurance, Shop Floor Control.
  • Able to work and learn from others daily.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Intellectual curiosity - wanting to understand roadblocks, errors of turn-backs to progress.
