We have a new opportunity for a Project Manager. This position is based out of our Westminster, CA office. The Project Manager may work from home but will be required to report to the office or client site for meetings and field walks, as required. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring assigned projects are executed in a professional and timely manner, you are able to satisfy the client’s requirements and your success achieves Eichleay’s profit objectives. As a Project Manager at Eichleay your duties will include management of the Client relationships as well as coordination of all internal activities performed by Eichleay’s staff. You will report into the Drive team which is responsible for project execution.
Compensation: $140,000-180,000 anticipated annual salary *estimated salary may vary based on experience and location*
Job Description
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for projects ranging from small to mid-size capital EP projects. Project scope may include fabrication and construction management. You will be responsible for the projects from proposal development through close out, establishing and executing projects that comply with the contract terms, and ensuring the safety, value, quality, timeliness of the project delivery.
Additional Job Duties:
- Ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) is emphasized throughout all phases of the project
- Establishing a collaborative work environment for the project team members
- Developing lasting relationships with clients.
- Developing effective internal working relationships with company management, engineering and design staff, and project management peers.
- Leading meetings with clients, contractors, and internal staff.
- Preparing written communications and reports.
- Managing and controlling the project’s cost and schedule by ensuring that effective project controls are in place including the change management system
- Forecasting resource needs on projects, using Eichleay internal systems.
- Preparing engineering project proposals for new projects or the next phase of a project.
- Reviewing and approving Client invoices prior to submittal.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of fifteen (10) years related experience with a minimum of ten (5) years of project management experience.
- Accredited four-year Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical field from an accredited university or equivalent experience
- Ability to form and foster collaborative relationships within Eichleay and with clients and partners
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, delegation skills, with strong organizational capabilities and focus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-effective manner
- Command of essential project controls functions, including scheduling, planning, forecasting, estimating, and cost management.
- Successfully demonstrated experience conducting and coordinating all technical and management aspects of projects.
- Strong technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing and implement effective solutions.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be badged for a process safety management governed facility which requires in depth drug screening.
Preferred Requirements/Skills:
- Experience with coordinating or managing project support staff located in remote office locations.
- Demonstration of successful performance as a project manager on a minimum of two (2) small to mid-size EP projects in the refining industry
- Knowledge of local permitting requirements
- Understanding of the phase-gate work process for project funding
- Demonstrated ability to influence the client for clear decision making and push back when necessary.
- Demonstration of innovation, initiative, maturity, and sound judgement
Industry Experience / Requirements:
This role may require all or some of the following requirements (as applicable):
- RSO Safety Training and current card or ability to obtain.
- Client Safety Training and current badge or ability to obtain.
- TWIC Certification and current card or ability to obtain.
- Client cGMP and Sterile Area Training and current badge or ability to obtain.
- Background screening including previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.
- Participation in random drug and alcohol program.
