Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Project Manager oversees projects from the proposal stage through project initiation, execution, and project closeout.
- Responsible for managing day-to-day substation project activities. Under the supervision of Division Manager, Project Manager is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and preparing cost exposure reports and cash flow projections and responsible for maintaining cost budgets, monitoring and maintaining schedules.
- Prepares substation bid packages and manages bid process.
- Creates a comprehensive work plan that specifies project scope, objectives, and criteria for evaluation.
- Oversees the processing of submittals, request for information, drawings, substitution requests, change proposals, and change orders. Obtains owner approval for all billing and change orders in a timely manner.
- Responsible for solicitation, evaluation, and selection of all needed subcontractors.
- Monitors project development to see that subcontractors, materials, equipment, and manpower is procured or sourced within the budget and on schedule.
- Plans materials and reviews purchase orders ensuring work is within project scope.
- Responsible for client billing and account receivables.
- Manages the preparation of daily weekly reports and prepares monthly reports.
- Attends weekly meetings to discuss manpower and equipment needs.
- Monitors and manages substation craft labor force, collects and approves timesheets for projects.
- Attends site visits and site meetings at substation locations as necessary.
- Demonstrates commitment to company safety program through own actions and monitoring others.
- Project Close-out and warranty management.
- Ensure the crew has the correct equipment needed for the project.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or several years of relative experience in lieu of degree.

3+ years of project management and estimating experience in the substation industry.

Knowledgeable with substation specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services.

Able to read and understand civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, etc. drawings and specifications, proposals, and other documents as they relate to substation work.

Direct hire and self-perform construction management experience in the substation industry or related field.
- Must be able to come into the office setting in Leesburg, FL 3 days a week.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field of study.
- 4 or more years of construction project experience.
- Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional certifications.
- Fundamental knowledge of Primavera P6.
- OSHA 10 certification.
