Project Manager, Systems & Development (Saugerties, NY)
The Project Manager, Systems & Development coordinates overall integration of developmental builds from moving from engineering to manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o Set project timelines, track progress, budget and coordinate with other functional groups and teams to meet objectives.
o Communicate with key stakeholders to determine project requirements and objectives.
o Coordinate resolving first article build issues on which may involve design, materials, vendor or processes issues.
o Work with team to develop and implement mitigation plans to ensure project goals are met as challenges arise.
o Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks.
o Provide support related to manufacturing.
o Engages with team to proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts.
o Work independently with minimal supervision.
o Maintains appropriate communication with management to ensure issues are known and can be addressed as appropriate
o Perform functions such as reviewing or writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, or purchasing of materials or services.
o Work with other functions to coordinate effort to support business needs
o Approach all encounters with customers, vendors, and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
o Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company guidelines.
o Performs all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Strong project management, organizational and conceptualization skills.
o Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
o Ability to understand technical issues related to manufacturing
o Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, team leadership, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
o Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Knowledge of MRP and ERP systems and basic manufacturing processes
o Solid MS Office, MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
o Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Education, Certifications and Experience:
o B.S. or equivalent work experience, or combination of education and experience required
o Project Management Certification desirable
o 5+ years of experience
