Job Description

SSC is looking for a talented and results driven individual that is interested in professional development and working in a team-oriented environment. We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team, daily you will be responsible for the daily accounting responsibilities of project accounting, account reconciliations, and oversight of general accounting and administrative responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities & Tasks

Financial & Project Accounting

· General Ledger and account maintenance

· Journal entries

· Account reconciliations

· Project accounting; monthly review of project costs, billing cycle and budget vs actual variance analysis

· Preliminary financial statement review

· Monthly Close

Administrative Support

· Oversight and back up support for A\P, A\R & payroll

· Administrative Support on an as needed basis

· Other duties & special projects as assigned

Desired Qualifications:

· BS Degree in Accounting

· 2-5 Years’ Experience

· Experience working for a fast-paced & large company ($100M+ in revenues)

· Advanced Level user of MS Excel

Highly Desired Qualifications:

· Experience as a staff accountant for a Fortune 500 company and\or Large General Contracting\Construction firm ($100M+ in revenues)

· Self-starter with and assertive mindset that works with a sense of urgency.

· Top Level ERP Experience (Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP, etc.)

Reports to: Manager Accounting & Finance

Salary Range: $50-70K commensurate with experience.

Remote Work: This position is based in Aspen, CO and remote work is available for the qualified candidate that has demonstrated the ability to thrive in a remote work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
