We are looking for a project level environmental engineer/geologist with a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental site assessment and remediation. The selected candidate should be able to take projects from initial assessment and characterization through remediation and closure, acting as the technical, management, and client lead. At a minimum, the selected candidate must have familiarity with assessment and remediation of sites impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, metals, and PCBs. Special consideration for specific experience at solid waste disposal sites. The pay scale for this position is $43.27-$57.69 an hour based on qualifications and experience.


Your Role:

  • Preparation of cost proposals and contract negotiations
  • Oversight/management of Phase I & II environmental site assessments
  • Oversight/management of site cleanup programs
  • Act as primary regulatory liaison
  • Act as primary client contact
  • Direct, mentor, and supervise staff level team members
  • Negotiate subcontractor agreements and oversee subcontractor performance
  • Project management and budget tracking

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) or Master’s Degree (M.S.) in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering/Geology or a related area
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in performance of site investigations involving impacts to soil, soil-gas, and groundwater
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in developing and implementing environmental site remediation programs
  • Proven performance overseeing and directing staff and outside subcontractors in the performance of work
  • Proven performance managing complex projects and budget tracking
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour trained (8-hour supervisor training preferred)
  • Professional registration in the State of California preferred
  • Experience working at solid waste disposal sites preferred
