Position Overview
The Project Director may manage small to large, complex task order(s) or multiple task orders affecting the same common, standard, migration system and assists the Program Manager in working with the Contracting Officer, the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and other Government representatives. Responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and ensuring technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner within budget. May lead enterprise-wide horizontal integration planning. Interfaces with other functional and business areas.
Responsibilities / Duties
  • Responsible for the planning, layout and complete installation and testing of network and system management communications infrastructure IAW all applicable plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Provide project oversight, scheduling, financial management, on-site supervision, and quality.
  • Serve as the single on-site interface with the Government.
  • Interface with other internal functional and business areas
  • Analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the planning, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project.
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of all deliverables.
  • Ensure that all conduit installations are completed and within standards.
  • Hold weekly safety meetings with Field Construction Managers & Construction Supervisors
  • Drive schedule, constructability and assist in tracking field scope changes.
  • Identify potential production impacting risk factors arising from adverse municipality policies and business practices, staffing and equipment deficiencies, weather conditions, materials shortages and other related circumstances and provide clear and concise communication of these issues to the leadership team, and work with stakeholders to address solution driven remedies and results.
  • Supervise a team of technicians responsible for complex information transport systems design and installation.
  • Manage and coordinate the permitting process.
  • Manage the installation schedule, and track the budget and hours expended against progress.
  • Must have background in the DoD development and/or acquisition environment, as applicable, in requirements definition, work planning, budget control, task control, contract management, and personnel communications methods and procedures.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Travel required.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering management, mathematics, or information technology
  • 15 years of experience in information systems including significant network design and implementation of wired and wireless networks.
  • Skilled in management of OSP/ISP projects of similar size, scope, and complexity
  • Skilled in adherence of ISO 9001:2015 quality processes for controlling the execution of a complete QC inspection system.
  • Experienced in engineering change drawing procedures.
  • Secret T3 Level Clearance
  • IAT/IAM Level I Certification
  • Security + Certification
  • Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Survey

  • Expert in Microsoft products including Microsoft Projects and Visio
  • Must be available to travel as required.
  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accurate deliverables, and able to take initiative to meet deadlines.
Preferred skills & knowledge
  • Skilled in managing communications with the customer (external) via meetings and reporting.
  • Ensure contract work being performed is in conformance with the customer’s expectations, and with on-site staff (internal) to ensure all work scope is performed on time, to standard.
  • Skilled in the implementation of risk management to prevent problems, and use lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
  • Accurate proofreading and editing skills; effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion regarding personnel and industry-related matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Familiar with operational networking strategies and techniques employed in medical facilities.
Physical Demands
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Substantial walking in a medical facility complex.
  • Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
