As a Project Assistant you'll performs a variety of tasks; You’ll provide a wide variety of administrative, and staff support services. You’ll be accountable for preparing correspondence, spreadsheets, reports, budgets, and monthly financials; greeting visitors and answering telephone calls and routing messages. You’ll also be responsible for checking, preparing, and submitting Service Tickets on behalf of associates; providing on boarding and new employee training, compliance and safety training and maintaining training records; and perform other duties as required. Most importantly, you’ll take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of you and your team. Your strong organization skills and ability to communicate professionally with staff at all levels – both orally and in writing will help us meet our client’s objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager in planning, scheduling, document retention and directing the administration of the project.
- Assists Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager in budgeting and estimating cost and time for the project.
- Assists Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager in keeping project deliverables up to date.
- Assists Assistant Project Manager in record keeping and documentation of the clients Biosolids Management Plan.
- Prepares required reports and maintains completed record keeping procedures.
- Provide instruction and assignments to project staff.
- Provides training to less experienced employees.
- Assists in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) development and implementation
- Works safely and adheres to established safety procedures acting as project safety
- Performs other duties as required

Here’s What You’ll Need:- High school diploma or GED
- Public Notary
- 1 to 5 years’ experience, trade school or some college education in business management, administration, or progressive administrative experience
- A minimum 1 year of experience supporting upper-level leadership such as a director or an executive leader
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Office and to enter data into a computerized maintenance management system
- Knowledge of safe work practices, supervisory training, and federal and state laws.
Ideally you will also have:
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with Oracle, MyPayable, and JDocs
- Minimum of 50 words per minute typing
- Effective communication and public relation skills
- Reading comprehension and ability to perform arithmetic computations
- Knowledge of safe work practices and federal and state laws as they pertain to the water/wastewater industry.
- Knowledge of principles of supervision and training.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
The work area can involve a working environment indoors as well as outdoors, which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, pathogens, and various chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist, and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination to work on equipment, have sufficient vision, have hearing in the normal range with or without correction. In an 8-hour shift must be able to transport self across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, wear and use appropriate safety equipment.
