The IAM National Pension Fund is seeking an experienced Programmer Analyst to join our IT Department. Looking for a meaningful career and growing your skill set. Be part of our Application Development team and help establish the Gold Standard in Benefit Administration Industry. We’re implementing a new benefit administration system and integrating new technologies.

The IAM National Pension Fund is the 5th largest multiemployer pension fund in the United States with approximately $14 Billion in assets. The Fund has over 1,650 contributing employer locations and pays pension benefits to over 100,000 retires and beneficiaries, providing them with retirement security.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Develops and debugs stored procedures, triggers, packages, functions.

· Debugs and writes complex queries.

· Performance tuning of SQL scripts.

· Extracts data, performs data migration, job queues, normalization techniques and entity relationship modelling.

· Tunes, monitors, backup/restore and metadata import/export of database.

· Supports the application development team throughout the software development lifecycle.

· Support building new systems environments, and upgrading/patching existing ones, through use of automation tools.

· Participate in data migration/integration using ETL tools.

· Batch Scripting, Bulk Processing and schedule/monitor automated jobs.

· Business Intelligence and Analytics using Reporting Tools like Power BI.

· Create and maintain documentation on all internally developed software applications.

Qualifications:

· 5+ years’ experience in stand-alone SQL scripting and database stored code (triggers, packages, procedures, and functions) in compliance with standards and procedures.

· Working experience in RDMS like Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL

· Working experience in the Agile/SCRUM environment.

· Experience in test driven development.

· Experience with Code repository like Subversion or Team Foundation Server.

· Experience with ETL and Reporting tools.

· Experience in Batch Scripting and job scheduling.

Plus

· Solid experience with Microsoft technologies in financial industry

· Added plus with experienced in Power BI and PostgreSQL.

· Experience in Benefit Administration Software

Education:

  • An undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology or a computer related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical certifications and/or completion of technical courses a plus.

The desired candidate will be a self-starter, have an excellent work ethic, and exercise sound judgment. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and issues clearly and concisely with all levels within and outside the organization. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to plan & coordinate efforts, prioritize, adhere to deadlines, and follow-up through completion is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
