Program Management Specialist

Frostburg State University (FSU) is accepting applications for a full-time, non-exempt Program Management Specialist position for the Office of the Provost. This position pays an hourly rate $20.11/hour and includes University System of Maryland benefits package.

Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Interim Associate Provost, assists in the planning, implementation and management of numerous functions of the Office of the Provost. Serves as a primary office academic contact for students, parents, faculty and staff; assists in the management of academic policies and procedures concerning student support and academic standards (especially academic probation/warning/dismissal). Collects, compiles, and organizes data and assists in the preparation of final reports, recommendations, and other information resources pertinent to academic affairs. Processes in-house paperwork for Academic Common Market (ACM) program and for AP, IB, and CLEP scores. Participates in activities to support the preparation and publication of the undergraduate and graduate catalogs, academic program development and articulation, the faculty handbook, and the academic calendar. Co-plans various events, maintains the Provost’s Office website, opens and processes mail, answers phones and orders office supplies. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in administrative staff work.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working at a college or university. Demonstrated knowledge of academic policies and procedures. Experience working with students, families, faculty and staff on advising and program requirements.

Other: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience, and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
