Kidsave seeks an energetic and organized Program Coordinator for our Summer and Winter Miracles program. In this position you’ll be a front-line champion and changemaker who will make a tangible difference in the lives of older kids growing up in orphanages and foster care. Kidsave is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that believes in the power of family to transform the lives of forgotten kids in foster care and orphanages worldwide. Kids who, through no fault of their own, are in a system that – as best as it tries – often falls short. Kids who just need a “first” chance at finding happiness and family.

At Kidsave, we work to change the lives of older children in the foster care system, in the US and around the world. Through our innovative Family Visit Model, we work to support programs in the U.S. and around the world that introduce kids to the community and ultimately help them find lasting connections and forever families.

The Program Coordinator will be a key member of our dedicated program team and will directly support activities that create opportunities for interested families to meet and get to older children. In this role, you’ll help our kids find forever families and meaningful relationships with trusted adults. You’ll work with our program team to increase the number of families that will host, champion, and adopt older kids in foster care. You’ll learn a lot quickly, and if Kidsave is the right place for you, there are opportunities to advance within our growing company.

This role requires regular office hours as well as twice-monthly evening orientations/ program and advocacy trainings, and at least twice-monthly recruitment and advocacy events held on the weekends.

In this role, you’ll also get to help with our Weekend Miracles program monthly connection events. Every month we hold a Weekend Miracles connection event for older children in foster care in Los Angeles County, CA and Harris County TX. For larger events, our entire team pitches in to champion our kids and ensure that they meet and get to do activities with all prospective families. It’s incredible to watch these connections developing over the course of these events and to see older kids finding forever families and lifelong mentors.
