Definition:
Under the direction of the Director of Community Schools, the Program Coordinator II for Community Schools Support is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing technical assistance services to the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP), Regional Technical Assistance Center Central Coast Region; providing individual or group consultation to grantees, sites and community-based sub-contracted partners; providing training and other presentations regarding the implementation of the Community Schools strategy based on the state CCSPP Framework; identifying and brokering needs driven state and local resources for grantees; assisting with program review, evaluation, and improvement.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: The following is a list of duties that is representative of the position that includes but is not limited to:
● Plan, organize, coordinate and implement technical assistance services to CCSPP prospective and existing planning and implementation grant awardees based on the expected outcomes of the Regional Technical Assistance Center Contract, the California Community Schools Partnership Program Framework, and other related guidelines and policies to include:
a. Conducting a comprehensive school and community assets map and needs assessment
b. Improving authentic family and community engagement in the languages spoken in the community
c. Developing programming and strengthening relationships to promote positive, supportive, and racially just school climates
d. Establishing and supporting collaborative leadership and shared decision-making practices at the LEA and School Site levels
e. Creating, deepening, and expanding community partnerships
f. Developing sustainable funding sources
g. Coordinating services across child-serving agencies, municipalities, governmental entities, and schools
h. Accessing and combining funding for services from multiple revenue sources
● Coordinate and write particular state, federal, or local grants related to Community School sustainability
● Develop and maintain communications systems, data, and online accountability systems for purposes of program planning, implementation, or evaluation
● Develop, coordinate, and maintain a work plan that includes program objectives and indicators
● Provide individual or group consultation to grantees, sites, and community-based sub-contracted partners regarding the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the California Community Schools Partnership Program
● Prepare and facilitate training and other presentations regarding grant writing workshops, quality programming, community school services, and other topics as required
● Identify and broker needs-driven state and local resources for grantees per applicable laws, codes, policies, and procedures.
● Provide technical information and reports to the Director of Community Schools regarding assigned functions
● Assist in the formulation and development of policies, procedures, and programs aligned with the
Community Schools Framework
● Prepare and maintain a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, and files related to assigned activities
● Communicate with other administrators, instructional and support staff, and outside organizations to coordinate activities and programs, resolve issues and conflicts, and exchange information
● Assist the director as needed in the development of the annual budget
● Assist the director in analyzing and reviewing budgetary and financial data and control and authorize expenditures per established limitations as assigned
● Collect and provide feedback to technical assistance recipients, Community Schools Director, or any other entity connected with assigned work
● Participate in program evaluation, data analysis, and other activities related to improving, measuring, and refining the Community Schools strategy
● Operate a computer and set software programs, and operate other office equipment as assigned
● Drive a vehicle within the RTAC Region to conduct work as assigned
● Attend and perform a variety of meetings as assigned, including State Technical Assistance sessions, community stakeholder meetings and communities of practice sessions, conferences, and network meetings as required
● Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with relevant State and Federal laws and regulations, Monterey County Office of Education Board Policies, Superintendent Policies, and Administrative Regulations

Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
● Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in sociology, education, public health, or related field
● Five (5) years of combined professional experience working in any of the following: with youth or adults in a community development role, teaching, school administration, non-profit management, social services, consulting, or staff development
● Record of successful accomplishment in educational, social service, or non-governmental agency large-scale projects involving collaboration and delivery of staff development
Knowledge of:
● Project planning, organization, coordination , and implementation
● Required California Community School Partnership Program components and guidelines as stipulated in state and federal law
● Foundational competencies in youth development and adult learning
● Adult learner engagement
● Strategic planning and accountability systems
● Oral and written communication skills
● Presentation skills, including public speaking, teleconference, and virtual settings
● Principles and practices of training and support in large or small groups and individual settings
● Applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures related to the field
● Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
● Operation of a computer and assigned software and applications

Licenses and Certifications:

Desirable Qualifications:
● Master’s degree in a relevant field

● Knowledge of grant writing/application development process
● Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $516.51 - $659.20 per day
