I. The Work is a summary of the purpose, content, duties, responsibilities, and authority of the job.

A. Perform various tasks in assembling or processing functions.

B. Safely, efficiently, and correctly perform such work as cut‑to‑length parts and prep, glue, notch, trim, buff, apply patches, apply pins by hand or machine, plug, drill, inspect, apply mastic and pack. Also, prepare parts for coating, load/unload parts from overhead conveyor and count as required in order that customer specifications are maintained.

C. Ensure parts receive proper coating of protectant.

D. Identify and reduce waste and inefficiencies.

E. Maintain accurate record keeping.

F. Comply with all safety regulations and practices.

G. Report defects; problems or equipment malfunctions to supervisor.

H. Participate in team problem solving.

I. Proficient (certified) in each task within work center.

J. Assist in maintaining good housekeeping.

K. Perform simple maintenance checks on equipment and tools.

II. The Workplace describes working conditions created by this job. It includes physical conditions, types of equipment, tools used, controls on freedom (i.e. travel, amount of supervision) and other factors that describe the physical, mental, or sensory abilities needed to successfully perform the job.

A. Use of manual hand tools, gauges, check fixtures and measuring devices.

B. Use of power lightweight machines.

C. Working conditions include working in 90 ‑ 120-degree heat 3 ‑ 5 months per year.

D. Requires the wearing of hearing/eye protection.

E. May require the wearing of safety shoes/gloves.

F. May require working in moderate non‑toxic dust/fumes.

III. The Worker describes the required skill, experience, education, and prior knowledge to successfully perform the job.

A. Would be expected to be proficient in job within 60 ‑ 90 days.

B. Complete company/departmental training as required.

C. Meet performance (efficiency) standards.

D. Meet attendance and other policy standards.

E. Medium exertion for lifting/pushing/pulling.

F. Lift lightweight parts constantly to head high or higher position.

G. Be able to work any shift required.

H. Constant standing.

I. Participate in team environment.

J. Review and offer in-put into changes of any portion of the job.

K. Perform safety and operational checks and simple preventative maintenance.

L. Perform other duties as needed or required.
