We are seeking resumes for a Flexo Operator in our New Oxford, Pennsylvania facility for 3rd shift (Su 11:00p start).

Principle Accountabilities:
  • Set-up rails and print die cut section on Flexo accurately in accordance with proper set-up techniques
  • Inspect all dies before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run.
  • Ensure all bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly secured.
  • Monitor quality, including but limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, and print, etc.
  • Check anilox rolls for damage.
  • Train and assist Assistant Operator with job duties on the machine.
  • Switch roles with crew member, as expected.
  • Read factory ticket information to ensure accurate execution of customer expectations.
  • Work with crew to maximize efficiency of machine through communication of quality problems, including but not limited to loose liner, warp, correct size, print registration, print quality and crack scores throughout entire order.
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
  • Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
  • Notify supervisor for any work orders that need processed for needed repairs. Be proactive in the Crew PM maintenance of the equipment.
  • Adhere to production schedule. Make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Report any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor.
  • Perform weekly clean-up PMs.
  • Adhere to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Must frequently lift up die weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions, such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Ability and willing to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.
  • Good attendance and timeliness.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in flexographic printing.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, effectively communicating with members.
