On exception we will hire in secondary locations such as District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. We are not actively recruiting in Colorado, Rhode Island or Washington.

Overall Purpose
Application Support: This position supports production applications, customer implementations to Early Warning products, and provides level 2 application support.
Enterprise Platform: This position supports the operational aspects of supporting and monitoring the Big Data platforms. This includes application implementations and Level 2 technical system support duties.
ETL: This position supports customer implementations to the Payments, Identity, and Card Processing products, and provides level 2 technical system support. Utilizes business process modeling applications for ETL (Edit Transform Load) functions required for client file processing.
Telco/Transmissions: This position provides setup and support for all customer connectivity within Early Warning. Additionally, supports data movement with internal and external sources, and provides on-call support for level 1 and level 2 escalation issues related to connectivity.
Essential Functions
  • Analyze complex business problems, recommend solutions, resolve operational or systems issues within the primary application; this includes supporting the supplemental middle ware apps, or the operating system.
  • Perform application configuration setups and modifications according to policy and documented audit controls
  • Create and maintain documentation of operational processes and policies to conform to audit requirements. For Telco/Transmissions, this includes the client connection diagrams and all supporting client approvals
  • Provide on-call support to Operations for “level 1 and level 2” escalation issues ensuring all required details are updated in the ticketing application
  • Participate in annual Disaster Recovery functional drills and full scale tests
  • Act as a resource to PCAs for training of standard activities, providing technical and functional coaching to junior analysts
  • Assist in scheduled maintenance events that require application support on production systems
  • Manage client implementation testing related to new and existing clients in assigned area
  • Review new product features and determine any operational support changes that must be documented and implemented
  • Validate and report SLA measurements monthly
  • Maintain special database interface, and keep current documentation needed, to perform ad hoc queries for Client Operations, Data Analytics, or Account Management.
  • For ETL-Focused Positions
    • Configure and operate ETL software in order to normalize client files for production processing.
    • Work with technical client contacts to understand their data feeds and the environments in which they run in order to produce accurate input and output data.
  • For Telco/Transmissions-Focused Positions
    • Install and maintain File Transmission software applications, configuration files and various system components that support the movement and management of file deliveries.
    • Create transmission templates for automated file transfers between clients and production systems.
    • Work with all other Early Warning departments to perform ad hoc, or to automate ongoing, file transfers between various production systems.
    • Create all necessary network connectivity requests such as telco setups, firewall requests, etc.
  • For Enterprise Platform-Focused Positions
    • Configure and operate interface software in order to manage and monitor the Enterprise Platform Infrastructure.
    • Work with support applications such as SOLR and HIVE
  • Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems with experience supporting users and an ability to relate business needs to system capability OR Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with bank processing experience
  • Ability to research and quickly resolve highly technical system and application issues.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and policy compliance.
  • Experience supporting applications and an ability to relate business needs to system capability
  • Knowledge and experience supporting batch and online processing systems
  • For Application Support-Focused Positions
    • Knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL, MS Office, MS Access
    • Knowledge of telecom functions and transmission protocols such as, SFTP
  • For Enterprise Platform-Focused Positions
    • Knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL, JAVA, .NET
    • Knowledge and experience supporting enterprise processing systems and Big Data interface applications such as SOLR, HIVE, MapR
    • Interest in learning and supporting new technologies
  • For ETL-Focused Positions
    • Knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows, IBM Z series, Oracle, SQL, MS Office, MS Access, ETL apps such as Clover
  • For Telco/Transmissions-Focused Positions
    • Knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL, MS Office, Visio, Cisco or Juniper networking
    • Knowledge of telecom/network functions and transmission protocols such as, TCP/IP, SFTP or Connect:Direct.
    • Qualified candidates will likely have computer operations experience with knowledge of networking and distributed systems coupled with the ability to apply this toward business operations OR experience with solid technology capabilities and a comfort level with applications and batch jobs.

Physical Requirements
Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
