Position Objective:

The position is responsible for maintaining supply inventory levels for effective company operations and negotiating deals with potential vendors while following company purchasing policies and procedures. The successful incumbent will also be charged with conducting regular price comparisons to ensure the company receives the best price for each purchased product.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare purchase orders as required to assure timely deliveries.
• Maintain service contracts and on-time delivery records.
• Follow up on orders as required to assure timely deliveries.
• Process packing slips and invoices according to established procedures.
• Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies.
• Monitor office equipment performance and service.
• Monitor and review procurement card program.
• Assist in the research of new products and services.
• Perform required clerical duties of the purchasing department.
• Adhere to company policies, safety standards and housekeeping practices.
• Complete other duties and/or projects as assigned or directed.

• High School Diploma
• 3-5 years manufacturing purchasing experience
• Organizational, customer service and demonstrated verbal & written communication skills
• Experience with computers and purchasing tracking system
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs
