Under general supervision of the President, is responsible for managing the trials and development of robust processes for new & existing molds. Monitoring the effectiveness of the processes in manufacturing providing assistance in resolving mold and mold processing issues ensuring thorough documentation and effective reporting and communication of findings. Support continuous improvement efforts in processing capability and further develop processing knowledge through the support of training. Developing capabilities for the latest molding technologies, materials and processes. In addition, this individual will evaluate and make recommendations for key processing equipment, molding processes and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the latest molding technologies. The Processing Engineering Manager will work directly with the Engineering, Tooling, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing departments to ensure new processes and molded parts meet all required specifications determined by Creative Techniques and our customers.
Ensures compliance with all Federal and State regulations governing the facility, its employees and the like. This individual will be responsible for sharing the company vision, as well as development and implementation of initiatives to achieve key objectives.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Trial and evaluate all prototype molds, new molds, resins, and equipment providing effective documentation, communication, and recommendations.
Provide detailed information on part design and mold design impacts on processing and provide recommendations for related processing issues.
Provide hand-on support to the Operations team for start-up of presses and certain production runs.
Help coordinate mold revisions and repairs to prototype and new molds.
Ensure that process development handoff to manufacturing is thorough, providing all information and documentation required.
Lead process capability advancements and processing knowledge development
Assist the Manufacturing Manager to include evaluating training needs for the Process Engineers and Process Technicians, evaluating process capabilities, evaluate and make recommendation on key process related equipment and implementing cost saving projects.
Act as a liaison between Quality Assurance and Manufacturing departments for mold and process related issues.
Develop and maintain FMEA's/PFMEA's on new and existing products.
Develop and maintain key metrics and documentation for all processes within the department.
Managerial responsibilities to include time and attendance, completing performance/competency evaluations & follow up, coaching, motivation, training and disciplinary actions for employees in assigned department(s). Maintain appropriate staffing levels to execute the functions of the department effectively.
Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operations performance and optimum utilization.
Complies, stores, and retrieves production data. Also provides reports when appropriate providing results and analysis of information gathered.
Ensures accurate two-way communication by attending or holding meetings, issuing memorandum that enhance the manufacturing activity.
Willingly participates with all departments and activities as needed, requested or expected.
Present a professional image to all contacts, internal and external.
Performs miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed.
Adhere to all company and manufacturing policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
