Process Engineer

• Participate in Product Launch Process for metal injection molding and metal additive manufacturing processes
• Create documents to streamline and expedite Product Launch Process
• Set up, optimize, and change over processes in MIM manufacturing
• Troubleshoots process issues.
• Makes recommendations for process improvements and executes improvements.
• Collect and analyze critical to function part dimension data to determine if parts are within customer and company specifications
• Investigates and reports on root causes of product defects and scrap throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Performs Design of Experiments (DOE’s) to collect and measure variance data from various stages of the manufacturing process. Once collected the data is used to analyze the effects of the process or treatment on a product
• Communicate with customers about Product Launch Status and Program Management
• Assists manufacturing with any daily process issues as needed.
• Assists other engineers in reviewing and assessing internal and customer drawings and specifications
• Assists the manufacturing department with continuous improvement through Kaizen training.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Excellent mechanical skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multitask
• Basic understanding of molding processes
• Working knowledge of 3-D CAD (SolidEdge)
• Ability to read blueprints
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Required Education, Experience, & Training:

Preferred, Bachelor’s degree in Plastics or Mechanical EngineeringAssociate degree in PLET or MET, and relevant experience to be considered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
