As a Process Development Engineer supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototypes In some organizations. Would be involved with designing product specific manufacturing production processes and equipment in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Act as an individual contributor and develop hands-on experience with design, testing, and iterations of manufacturing processes to produce Intraocular Lenses (IOL’s)
- Computer-aided design (CAD) modeling, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programming, and simulation analysis activities
- Collaboration with diverse teams locally and internationally to produce samples for prototype testing and manufacturing scale-up
- Research and discover innovative technologies for production of IOL’s
- Authorization and contribution to documentation and/or procedures utilized in the verification and validation of new and existing equipment
- Contribute on new and existing project teams to identify necessary activities based on needs
- Coordinate sourcing of components and sub-systems from partner vendors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, Chemical, or relevant engineering discipline, 1 year with master’s degree
- Experience or coursework in mechanical engineering design, tolerance analysis, assembly of mechanical systems
- Experience designing components, sub-assemblies, and fabrication drawings for machinery using CAD (Creo (PTC), SolidWorks)
- Preferred experience with use of PDM revision control systems (Windchill, SolidWorks EPDM)
- Experience utilizing CAM systems to develop manufacturing programs (Creo (PTC), SolidCAM, Mastercam)
