DISTINGUISHING JOB CHARACTERISTICS
This position is an entry level Probation Officer who provides services to youth on Probation who have been assigned to the Montgomery County Juvenile Evening Reporting Center. Duties include individual and group counseling, random monitoring and surveillance services, wrap-around services, and day/evening reporting services. Employee conducts home and school visits and will respond to emergency situations during off-hours.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, social work or related field. Experience in corrections and human behavioral dynamics; experience in juvenile justice system preferred. Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements. Valid State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
The ability to pass a criminal background check. Valid Ohio Driver’s License and Insurance.

Salary: $45,189.25/Annually
