Sage Hematology and Oncology is currently looking to hire an expert Prior-Authorization Specialist to join our team of healthcare professionals!

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to use their expertise in Oncology and Hematology to demonstrate coding, and billing skills. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in an outpatient Oncology setting, We are seeking individuals who are capable of prioritizing tasks.

The Prior Authorization Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the prior authorization process.

Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

· Verification for coverage

· Collecting all the necessary documentation, contacting the patient for additional information.

· Completion of the required prior authorization for all chemotherapy drugs in patient’s chart.

· Complete, timely, and accurate identification and submission of prior and retro authorization requests to the payors.

· Interacts with patient, insurance companies, and sales representatives, as necessary, to request prior authorizations,

· Documenting in patient’s account all communications with insurance company.

· Updating prior authorization before expiring and requesting additional authorization if necessary.

· Demonstrates proficiencies with the Unlimited Financial billing platform to ensure all functionalities are utilized for the most efficient processing of claims.

· Identifies prior authorization trends and/or issues resulting in delayed claims processing.

· Provides the highest level of customer service to internal and external patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
