Job Type:

Full time Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with an hour lunch.

Duties:

Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-authorization, pre-determination, and referrals (as needed for a large orthopedic group) Procedures (hospital same day surgery & ambulatory surgical center).

• For Appointment scheduled in an ambulatory surgery center, ensure that the authorizations obtained cover the facility and the physicians.
• Monitor the pre-authorizations task list, along with other specified service provider calendars.
• Continually review schedules for new visits added within the week up to date of service.
• Continually monitor the participating provider grids to ensure that authorizations requirements are met based on network participation status.
• Work closely with the provider's MA's to ensure authorizations have been obtained.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Knowledge of Insurance Health Plans and the effective of not obtaining and Authorization.
