Job Summary
Provides end to end technical solution designs, recommends development tools and standards. Engages with business and BSAs to determine best possible end to end solutions, advises on feasibility and cost of recommended solutions. Considers stability, interoperability, security, or scalability of architecture.

Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis

• Reviews, analyzes and gives feedback on requirements/functional designs

• Attends and engages in requirement definition meetings, considers system wide impacts to specifying

Software Design

• Responsible for cross functional design reviews, provides technical leadership and develops design templates and standards

Development/Coding

• Sets design, code and tools standards and processes

• Provides technical and architectural leadership, evaluates new technologies, advises on feasibility and value of introducing/retiring technologies, etc

DevOps

• Develops Equinix strategy for DevOps culture

• Learns and coaches teams towards success

• Aligns team deliverables to Equinix vision and business strategy

Software Reliability & Support Engineering

• Identifies, documents and improves on the overall process for production support

• Cultivates "Customer First" attitude by incorporating best in class industry practices

• Builds software incident and problem governance models to improve customer satisfaction

Reporting

• Critical and cross functional program development updates to stakeholders within and outside GTS

Technical Project Management

• Participates in and facilitates decision making related to project/program releases

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

• San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $179,000 to $304,000

• California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $172,000 to $293,000

• Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $159,000 to $271,000

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
