Skyline CAP, Inc.is seeking a Teacher for our Head Start classroom located in Greene County (Stanardsville) VA. Our Teacher will work with a Teacher Assistant and Classroom Aide to provide a quality preschool experience for at-risk 3-4 year old children. Our program uses a PreK comprehensive, research-based curriculum that includes lesson plans and a social-emotional program. Our Teachers receive ongoing support and training through monthly Teacher meetings to develop teaching skills, techniques and build community among our Teaching staff. Our teachers never work evenings or weekends and all classroom supplies are provided. Our program operates on a public-school schedule; closed in the summer months. Applicants must qualify with one of the following: 1. an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development 2. a Bachelors degree in ECE, Child Development or an related field with at least 36 credits in child-focused coursework. 3. a CDA and you are currently working towards your Associates Degree in ECE or Child Development This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week for approximately 37 weeks per year.
