Job Summary::


The Senior Manager of Policies will report directly to the National Director of Compliance Support. A primary responsibility will be the development, implementation, maintenance, and revisions of a compliance and policy program about Southwest Key Programs (SWK). They will evaluate current processes and procedures, investigate any potential issues, and advise and propose solutions and key initiatives. The Senior Manager will establish a system to coordinate, prepare, analyze, and evaluate all current and new federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This role will ensure business operations and procedures align with compliance initiatives for federal, state, and local regulatory agreements, legal regulations, and internal policies. They will cultivate broad relationships and collaborate closely with team members and work cross-functionally with subject matter experts and leaders within and outside the company to execute the overall SWK corporate strategy.
Essential Functions::
  • Oversees and manages the Policy team.
  • Ensures corporate policies are accurate, current, and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Review and update policies as laws change.
  • Develops, implements, and updates Compliance Program policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Analyzes existing and proposed legislation, regulatory announcements, and industry practices, and helps SWK develop and implement procedures to meet these requirements.
  • Manages and oversees the implementation of appropriate policies and procedures to guide the conduct of employees.
  • Prepares quarterly reports.
  • Guides on ethics and compliance issues to all programs and departments.
  • Promotes company standards and ethics.
  • Effectively collaborates with a variety of departments across the organization.
  • Evaluates current procedures and internal controls for adequacy and effectiveness.
Other Functions::
  • Ability to direct, train, and guide peers, subordinates, and management.
  • Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances.
  • Ability to think strategically, write clearly and concisely, and operationalize concepts effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements::
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, risk management, audit, accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role with a strong knowledge and background of non-profit services or a regulated environment.
  • Proficiency with technology along with the ability to learn new software quickly. Should have strong, demonstrable general computer skills and knowledge of software such as Project Management software, MS Windows, and MS Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to manage strategic and tactical work to achieve overall learning and compliance requirements and projects.
  • Ability to assist with goal-oriented delivery of services.
  • Excellent written, spoken, and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to manage conflicts and perform well in crises.
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check.
Physical Demands::

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of the workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds.

Work Environment::
General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary and involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstations for extended periods. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
