Job description
The Plymouth Community Center – Guest Services is responsible for providing a welcoming environment and excellent customer service to all facility users. Ensuring that all internal and external services are provided in a friendly, efficient, and effective manner. Responsibilities include greeting all guests, processing point of sale tickets, program registrations, and customer interaction, both in person and over the phone.
Anticipated hours: 10 - 15 hours/week. Daytime, evenings, and weekend hours available.
- Responds to questions and gives information regarding facility amenities, schedules, programming, special events, fees, hours, etc.
- Troubleshoots concerns that may arise with customers, visitors or any groups using the facility or grounds.
- Assist full-time supervisory staff in specific tasks including but not limited to rentals, events, programs, projects, or customer service.
- Assist as needed with rental set ups, special events, playground supervision, recreation programs, or other areas necessary for Plymouth Community Center operations.
- Administrative support such as word processing, filing, cash handling, and record management.
- Monitor all activities throughout the building to ensure users’ needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized guest services desk.
- Ability to multi-task and work as a team to meet the needs of all user groups in the facility.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Previous cash handling experience.
- Must be 16 years old.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must enjoy serving the public.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
