Job description

We are looking for a professional Advanced Practice Provider for our new Extended Hours clinics, providing care to the OB/GYN population at more accommodating times. These two centers are forming around Value-Based Care – enhancing the patient experience by giving them convenient locations to visit during times when they would likely go to the ER because offices are closed.

The ideal candidate can provide care to a wide variety of patients. He/she will be responsible for caring for patients, maintaining accurate and current patient records and scheduling and administering follow-up appointments to patients as required. The successful candidate will work as a team with our nurses and physicians and will assist in delivering premium care to each patient.

Examples of responsibilities:

· Provide care to women of all ages, including adolescents going through puberty, pregnant mothers-to-be and women going through menopause

· Perform initial patient screenings and patient history and physical examinations

· Update patient records and check records for accuracy at each patient appointment

· Analyze test data and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options

· Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidance for patients in areas such as eating disorders, contraceptives, STDs and prenatal care

Required Skills and Experience:

· Valid APP License

· Board certification in Women’s Health

· Ability to work within a team and take direction

· Patient following preferred, but not required

· Must be familiar with the EHR medical charting system, athenahealth experience preferred, but not mandatory

· Strong written and interpersonal communication skills

· Ability to travel to both Extended Hours clinics in New Hyde Park and East Setauket. (100-16 South Jersey Avenue, East Setauket, NY 11733).

Hours will be as follows:

Monday-Friday 7pm-11pm

Saturday/Sunday 9am-2pm

*candidate will work a variety of the above shifts in both locations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 - $80.00 per hour

All employees must disclose vaccination status; per NY Health Commissioner, all employees and patients over the age of 2 are required to wear masks when in patient-facing areas, regardless of vaccination status.

Experience:

• EMR systems: 3 years (Preferred)
• OB/GYN: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• APP License (Required)
• Women's Health Board Certification (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (Required)
