Our client is a Pharmaceutical Industry located in Deerfield Beach, Fl.,

The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for handling prescription orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining a thorough knowledge of pharmacy law and regulations. They will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the correct medication and dosage. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.

Pharmacy Technician - Responsibilities and Duties

· Receive and interpret prescription orders from healthcare professionals.

· Prepare labels and select medications in accordance with the dispensing order.

· Enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system accurately

· Label and package medication for dispensing

· Maintain accurate patient records and profiles

· Process payment and billing information

· Follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy law and regulations

· Maintain a clean and safe work area

· Organizes assigned workload to facilitate its accomplishment.

· Participates with the pharmacist and pharmacy manager in monitoring/maintaining drug inventories and preparing orders for drugs and related supplies.

· Demonstrate general knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

· Properly clean up hazardous medication spills utilizing established safety protocols.

· Safely dispose of hazardous waste generated during medication preparation.

· Ensures the pharmacy area and related equipment are cleaned and maintained per organizational policy and procedures.

· Routinely check for outdated or soon to expire medications and products.

· Assists pharmacist-in-charge and pharmacist perform any other duties as assigned.

Pharmacy Technician Qualifications and requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Will give preference to candidates located in Deerfield Beach (highly desirable or preferred - not a must).
• Current Technician Registration in Good Standing with Florida Board of Pharmacy
• Proven pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a retail pharmacy setting
• Thorough knowledge of pharmacy law and regulations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet provided deadlines
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of pharmacy software systems
• Ability to operate computer and pharmacy related equipment
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
