Bus Person Position Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The main responsibility of a bus person is to keep the dining tables clean and presentable at all times. A bus person is instrumental in the success of the restaurant by paying close attention to diners and informing the server when a guest need something or they attend to it themselves. The bus person also assists the servers when needed by delivering food to the table and refilling drinks. The bus person will also maintain the overall cleanliness of the restaurant throughout the service hours to ensure a high level of service is provided to our guests and members.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

· Great verbal and written communication capabilities

· Flexibility to work different shifts

· The ability to work quickly and adapt on the go

· Excellent customer service skills

· Able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds

· Able to walk or stand for nearly 100 percent of shift

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Removing plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins from tables after patrons are finished eating

· Wipe down and fully sanitize the table and chairs

· Ensure that the tables are clean and ready for the next guests

· Refill water and periodically check on guests to handle any issues promptly

· Maintain our high food safety and sanitation standards

· Clean and reset tables

· Assist the servers with delivering food and refilling drinks

· Must be efficient, detail-oriented, courteous, attention to cleanliness and a team player attitude.

· Clean and organize dining area at the end of the shift

· A positive attitude and a courteous demeanor with customers is a must, as well as making sure you are clean and presentable.

· Lastly, a bus person needs to be able to work well with others and help us with other responsibilities as needed.

· Must be able to work as a Team Member

· Must be able to multi task

· Able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds

· Able to walk or stand for nearly 100 percent of shift

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Working in a restaurant kitchen and serving area

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.50 per hour
