About the position:
As a full-time Pediatric Speech Therapist at Madison Health, you will be primarily responsible for evaluation and treatment of pediatric patients with speech-language delays and communication difficulties. This clinician is expected to develop functional communication systems and improve upon speech, language, communication goals, developing and utilizing individualized treatment programs, and collaborating with patients, families, and staff. You will also be expected to collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams and keep timely medical records and maintain equipment and materials. Inpatient hospital coverage is also required as needed. Patient population served will be 80% pediatrics and 20% adult/geriatrics. This position will work full-time Monday-Friday with some alternating on-call weekends.
Key job qualities/duties:
- Evaluates the patient upon referral. Integrates data from a variety of assessment techniques to create a customized treatment plan including short term and long term goals.
- Provides safe and effective speech therapy treatment incorporating physical, mental, social and emotional components to achieve improved quality of life and a sense of independence. Demonstrates the ability to apply accurate therapeutic principles and practices. Uses appropriate technical knowledge and clinical judgment in observing patient’s reactions to treatments.
- Completes documentation timely to maximize compensation of speech therapy treatment.
What qualifications are we looking for?
- Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Ohio required
- BLS certification within 30 days of employment
- Basic computer skills required; prior EPIC patient charting experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.75 - $43.14 per hour
