The Payment Card Operations Leader leads a high performing operations team responsible for ensuring payment performance and integrity for over 10 million card accounts. A major component of our mission to create transformative healthcare payment experiences involves the ability to provide reliable and predictable member experiences at the point of sale. We are looking for an experienced operator to lead our card issuance and experience team.
The right candidate wants to drive excellence and efficiency across each consumer transaction, someone who can “think big” while diving deep, remain flexible to change, and someone with a passion for innovation and leading operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead operational execution of Optum’s Health Benefit Accounts card operations team
- Partner across Operations to execute operational standards and continuously position the organization to support rapid growth and operational efficiency
- Partner with vendors to ensure error free card production
- Produce executive-level dashboards to ensure critical focus areas are appropriately prioritized and addressed

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in leadership (people leadership)
- 5+ years of experience establishing reporting, defining KPIs and ensuring adherence to SLAs
- 5+ years of experience championing continuous improvement projects
- 5+ years of experience maintaining vendor relationships ensuring organizational needs are met
- 5+ years of experience in the card or payment space
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced level experience with SQL analysis or other related tools
- Experience with enterprise or platform level data migrations
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with non-technical and technical people inside and outside the organization
- Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously; strategic thinking with ability to build solid working relationships across organizational teams in a fast-paced and changing environment

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $101,200 to $184,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
