Position Overview

The incumbent is responsible for manging the annual sales and expenses budgets for the assigned branch territory and assists in the development of strategic sales. The incumbent directly and indirectly through subordinates is responsible for the sale and distribution of parts to customers in the assigned territory. The incumbent directly and indirectly through subordinates is to manage inventory through the use of a computerized database system, with the primary objective will be to maintain adequate levels of stock to meet daily distribution demands while minimizing excess supply.

The incumbent ensures that parts department procedures and company policies are followed by subordinates when dealing with customer sales and service. This is accomplished through

training, interoffice correspondence, and direct supervision. Incumbent must deal with employee problems, hiring, and disciplinary actions.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Inventory Controls within company guidelines
  • Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stock
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
  • Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders; collect and scrutinize data to determine appropriate order quantities
  • Track purchase and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions
  • Oversee Parts Sales to Customers / Service Technicians within company guidelines
  • Receive orders by phone, email, and walk-ins.
  • Enter orders on a computer terminal to create a parts order document.
  • Using parts books (online & printed) to research and produce parts orders or price quotes
  • Contacting vendors for other manufacturer parts prices and availability.
  • Research and fill request , shipping parts orders, and assembling hydraulic hoses.
  • Obtain information for items such as backorders as directed by management.
  • Oversee Parts Warehouse Controls within company guidelines
  • Unloads incoming parts from trucks, boxes and various shipping containers.
  • Compares and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments against way bills or other documents.
  • Stocks and marks incoming and returned parts on designated shelves or similar locations, and records on-hand quantities and storage locations on inventory records.
  • Fills parts orders for customers (e.g. locating parts and pulling from shelves, charging batteries and building hoses).
  • Prepares parts orders for customer pick-up or shipment (boxing and wrapping parts, completing bills of lading, etc.).
  • In some locations, makes parts deliveries to customers; also, handles inquiries and takes parts orders from customers or shop/field service technicians.
  • Performs miscellaneous housekeeping chores including sweeping and mopping floors, painting bins, shelves, racks and aisle markers, etc.
  • Nurture positive relationships with suppliers and customers and provide customer service as needed
  • Department Employee / Hiring, Scheduling, Training, Disciplinary Actions, Payroll Approval, Performance Review, and Compensation Adjustment.

Minimum Education, Skills, and Professionalism

  • High School diploma (or GED equivalency) required, must be able to read and write, and have basic math and computer skills.
  • Three or more years of prior Management experience or equivalent knowledge is preferred.
  • Superior organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate bilingually a plus.
  • Logical and deductive thinking is required to manage multiple information sources
  • Must be reliable, trustworthy, and an advocate for Darr Equipment.

· Must have experience with Microsoft office products and have experience using an ERP system.

· must become Certified for equipment operation prior to operating equipment on the job.

This position requires one to operate in a professional office environment.

This position is a sedentary position that requires 8 hours of sitting at a desk in a climate-controlled environment with frequent computer entry, mouse movement, 10 key touch entry, photocopier operation, scanner operation, and phone work.

This position may also require standing and walking, in a NON climate-controlled environment with Lifting, Bending, carrying of items / Safety Shoes Required and Safety Glasses required in designated areas
