Position Overview
The SEMILLA project is a federally funded grant overseen by the University of Kansas’ Center for Educational Opportunity Programs. The grant provides services and supports to English Language Leaner students, families, and teachers in the Topeka Public School district. This position will provide support to the Evaluation Director and will administer exit interviews (via Zoom or in-person in Topeka) to project participants. You will also be responsible for transcribing, coding, and writing up the data after each interview session.
Job Description
60% - Transcribe and code exit interview
20% - Administer exit interviews to project participants
10% - Assist in the write-up of interview data for formal reporting media, as required by the grant

Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, or other related field; Completed at least one master’s level course in research methods or the equivalent; and at least one semester experience working with K-5 student populations.
- KU Student must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours each semester during the academic year. Enrollment of one (1) hour during the summer session is required if the student was not enrolled in the previous spring or is not pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall term.

- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Experience working with Topeka Public Schools
