STANDARD HOURS: 24 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. with occasional evenings required as needed. Flexibility required to meet the needs of our students.

MINIMUM STARTING RATE OFPAY: $19.68 per hour

Responsible for assisting in the ordering, management, preparation, and maintenance of material and equipment to support the daily training needs taking place at the North Coast Marine Manufacturing Training Center (NCMMTC) located in Marinette, Wisconsin.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Support welding and fabrication instructional process.
  • Manage and maintain the proper inventory of welding lab equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with internal team to prepare welding test materials.
  • Prepare daily materials and equipment required for the Welding, Pipefitting, Outfitting, and Shipfitting training courses and competencies.
  • Ensure safe and compliant operations in all lab environments.
  • Deliver materials and supplies to the appropriate locations.
  • OSHA Forklift Certification or obtain OSHA Forklift Certification upon hire.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Technical Diploma in Welding


Experience:
Two years related experience in the welding field or metal manufacturing

  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.


Knowledge

Using the following equipment: oxy/fuel torch, plasma ARC cutter, track burner, hydraulic sheers, vertical bandsaw, forklift certified, various hand tools, as well as a complete understanding of a tape measure.


Computer Skills

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite


Other Requirements

Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the district’s standard insurance policy terms.
