Part time flexible hours, (ideally same time every day) Monday thru Friday approximately 20 hours per week. Del-Mor Dwellings Corp.,is a non-profit developer and manager of supportive housing for persons living with disabling mental illness. The job site for this position is at a 15 unit apartment property with a pleasant location in Bucyrus, Ohio. Serving as a representative of our organization, the Resident Support staff will be expected to interact in a professional and constructive manner with residents and their guests, and other members of the community who are present on the property. Responsibilities of the position will include, but not be limited to:

• Regularly interacting with all residents at the property in a manner that produces familiarity, trust, accountability and respect.
• Promoting an atmosphere of shared responsibility to preserve a living environment which offers all residents the opportunity to peacefully enjoy their home. Mediating interpersonal conflicts between residents, and referring unresolved situations to supervising staff.
• Providing clear direction to any resident or guest whose conduct detracts from other residents’ right to peaceful enjoyment of their homes.
• Maintaining an accurate perception of residents’ baseline behavior, and communicating substantial changes in behavior to supervising staff.
• Understanding and enforcing provisions of the lease with the assistance of supervising staff.
• Interacting with co-workers in a manner that promotes teamwork and attainment of our agency’s objectives. Assisting with other property management functions, including: occupancy turnover, lease signing, new tenant orientation, apartment inspections, minor routine maintenance, limited grounds maintenance, light cleaning of common areas, and various administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

• Evidence of interpersonal skills necessary to perform position duties, familiarity with basic household maintenance & repair, ability & willingness to perform hands on duties such as light cleaning, sidewalk snow removal, minor maintenance repairs. Prior experience in supportive housing setting desired, but not required.
