POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners is seeking a Radiology Reading Room Assistant who will facilitate and enhance the working environment for the Radiologists by improving workflow to increase efficiency and productivity. This person will effectively communicate critical test results to referring physicians and healthcare providers. They will also enhance patient safety and flow by assisting the Radiologist in managing patient information and priority. This person will be expected to follow PHI and HIPAA organizational policies and guidelines. They must be able to recognize acute situations and act accordingly, as well as provide primary phone support and take appropriate action to facilitate the requests.

POSITION DUTIES AND SUMMARY

Assist Radiologists in all aspects needed to enhance productive workflow

• Proficiently utilize multiple IT and Radiology-centric computer systems
• Monitor system dashboard for critical result reports and facilitate doctor to doctor communication
• Accurately convey report information to healthcare providers in a timely manner
• Relay accurate patient imaging report information to appropriate personnel to include referring physicians, emergency departments, etc
• Report critical results in an efficient and effective manner to expedite safe patient care
• Respond to requests quickly and effectively
• Maintain/manage strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and other key stakeholders
• Some travel required

Schedule: Tuesday 5:30pm - 11:00pm, every other Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm, every other Saturday 7:00am - 3:00pm

Job can be remote after training period.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· High School diploma or equivalent work experience

· Previous medical office experience with knowledge of medical terminology

· Basic computer and data entry experience

· Requires knowledge and solid understanding of all information systems utilized for the Radiology processes

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Highly organized and detail-oriented

· Must be able to multi-task
