Part-Time Environmental Sampling Technician

Field & Technical Services LLC (FTS) is a growing and innovative environmental service provider looking for a part-time Environmental Sampling Technician to join our team headquartered in Carnegie, PA. The ideal candidate would be willing to work on average 20-25 hours per week with ability to work up to 30 hours per work on occasion. Candidate with previous NPDES sample collection and automatic sampler experience would be beneficial. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

- Local travel to sites in PA, WV, and OH;

- Sample collection of but not limited to waste water, storm water, and potentially groundwater;

- Conduct and document equipment calibrations, field data, and inspections;

- Must be able to follow sampling protocols, including chain of custody procedures, and deliver samples to laboratory;

- Able to accommodate fixed daily schedule with flexibility to assist with storm water which potentially includes evenings and weekends;

- Complete work within expectations of Project Manager, and;

- Communicate with FTS Project Manager when completing field responsibilities.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent;

- Knowledge of NPDES sampling and reporting, a plus;

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team; and,

- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
