Parking Enforcement Officer
Job description
Provide routine parking enforcement functions, such as issuing standard citations and maintaining equipment. This position will interact on a regular basis with: faculty, staff, visitors, and students. This position typically will advise and counsel: faculty, staff, and students. This position will supervise: NA
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Enforce parking (motor vehicle) laws and regulations; coordinate vehicle impoundments or immobilizations.
Job Duty 2 -
Participate in parking enforcement activities including locating barricades, signage and parking control during sporting or campus events.
Job Duty 3 -
Interact with the public on an ongoing basis; receive, listen and skillfully handle parking issues and complaints. Educate the public regarding parking regulations and citations.
Job Duty 4 -
Answer questions from the public regarding campus geography and other general matters.
Job Duty 5 -
Respond to calls of possible illegal activity or complaints.
Job Duty 6 -
Identify curb repainting and signage needs and recommend resolution; clean and gas vehicles.
Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Required Experience
Up to one year of job related experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
This job requires skills in communication, office and specialized computer applications.
