ABOUT THE JOB:

This role is responsible for recommending, designing, prototyping, assessing, and marketing products for water management.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates and proposes designs for new and existing products and systems.
  • Develops accurate fabrication drawings for equipment orders.
  • Support sales staff with submittal, production drawings and O & M manuals.
  • Operates computer-aided design (CAD) system, AutoCAD or SolidWorks
  • Models equipment for product development
  • Confers with engineering to define design modifications.
  • Research code requirements within region to help drive specification.
  • Prepare and present drawings and specifications to civil, plumbing, and mechanical engineering customers, website, and marketing mediums.
  • Keys in specified information to produce graphical representation hard copy of design for review and approval by engineering staff.
  • Provides technical staff drawings to incorporate into rendered images
  • Travels within US approximately 5 trips per year.
  • Attends Sales meetings, trade shows or conferences to provide Sales support and technical knowledge of the products.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.
  • Provides technical and administrative support for department as needed.
  • Assist with project work as directed by Department Managers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of construction, estimating, compliance and permitting.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to create and modify drawings under strict timelines.
  • Enters specified information into a computer, using a keyboard, to generate approved designs.
  • Accuracy in data entry is critical
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Smartsheets, and AutoCAD or SolidWorks
  • Experience in Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, and InDesign) or similar is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in technical writing is preferred.
  • Must have high mathematical and logical aptitude, especially with fractions and decimals as a unit of measure.
  • Must be familiar with both Millimeters and Inches as a unit of measure.
  • Must be highly detail-oriented and able to solve problems with little guidance.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and establish/maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Ability to self-manage and multitask.
  • Ability to learn new programs.
  • Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Possess an aptitude to read and understand construction plan and specifications (Civil & Plumbing).
  • Knowledge of storm water, plumbing, and environmental codes and agencies is preferred.
  • Experience working in Salesforce and SAP preferred
  • Knowledge Content Management System (CMS, Joomla, WordPress) is helpful.
  • Knowledge of Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and/or fluid mechanics is helpful.
  • Experience working in AutoDesk software products (AutoCad, Inventor, Revit).
  • Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of patent & trademark process is preferred.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in technical/engineering related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years related experience with product design, prototyping, assessing, sales, and marketing products.
  • Construction Industry engineering experience preferred.
