A Groovy Hues paint foreman is responsible for leading and coordinating a team of painters to ensure that painting projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the customer's satisfaction. This may involve assigning tasks to team members, providing guidance and direction, and ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and materials to complete their work. The paint foreman may also be responsible for monitoring the progress of the project, identifying, and addressing any issues or challenges, and communicating with the customer to ensure that their needs and expectations are being met. Foreman oversees quality control checks, touch-up work, and smaller paint jobs when necessary. In addition, the paint foreman may be responsible for managing the team's schedule, as well as for ensuring that safety standards are followed and that the team is working in compliance with company policies and procedures. Overall, a Groovy Hues foreman plays a crucial role in the success of the Groovy Hues by providing leadership and direction to the team, and by ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Form and lead high performing teams and contribute to branch efforts to source, hire, train and develop talent to success. Provide feedback and coaching through regular check-ins.

• Maintain a high level of visibility in the field, leading technicians, and monitoring the work of both technicians and subcontractors. Contribute technical assistance by testing or troubleshooting installs. Ensure local, county, state and federal code requirements are being met.

• Provide technical expertise to more difficult jobs to ensure quality work and customer satisfaction.

• Contribute to a Customer First environment which achieves ultimate customer service/satisfaction.

• Mentor and coach technicians and subcontractors on the proper techniques, safety, customer service and overall performance and skill development while documenting in a timely manner.

• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed and that the company is following all regulatory rules and regulations to promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment and reduce workplace accidents and injuries.

• Train, educate and develop all technicians to perform to Groovy Hues processes and metrics. This may include but not be limited to facilitating and participating in regular “Toolbox Talks”, performing tech ride-a-longs, initiating corrective action and other activities as needed.

• Promptly address customer issues and complaints, and develop solutions to resolve issues timely, and effectively. Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding customer issues, and status of resolving such issues to foster a customer- focused workplace.

• Monitor, review and approve technician and coordinator timecards in a timely manner, utilizing tools to ensure accuracy and compliance to any applicable state required wage (including but not limited to OT, DT and prevailing wage), shift, meal and break laws.

• Maintain company property and documentation in accordance with established policies, handle proprietary information in the prescribed manner, and adhere to policies and procedures including all safety requirements.

• Responsibilities include hiring, training, reviewing, and developing all technicians on the team.

• Foreman must have flexibility to support technicians.

• Travel required throughout geography to support business needs.

• Review Inventory Management of products and safety materials with the General Manager.

• Analyze business results based on KPI reporting.

• Complete vehicle inspections to comply with maintenance requirements.

• Additional duties as assigned by the Owner or General Manager.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• 1 year of trade experience; 1 year of project managing.

• Very detail oriented, organized, and can keep efficient notes and records.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including and understanding of basic grammar and writing.

• High energy, positive attitude, and forward thinking.

• Strong team player and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be able to demonstrate willingness to be flexible and adapt to change.

• Bilingual; English and Spanish preferred

• Ability to follow policy and procedures.

• Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.

• Willing to be out in the field knocking on doors and engaging with business owners to drive business.

Physical Demands:

A Painting Foreman's job requires physical demands that involve standing and walking for extended periods while supervising painting crews. They may need to lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies such as ladders, paint cans, and scaffolding, which requires strength and stamina. Climbing ladders or scaffolding to inspect work areas or direct painting crews is also common, which requires balance and coordination. The foreman may need to stoop, kneel, or crouch to inspect work areas or prepare surfaces for painting, which can cause strain on their back and knees. Good manual dexterity is required to handle tools such as paintbrushes, rollers, and spray equipment. The foreman must have good visual acuity to inspect work areas and ensure that painting is being done according to specifications. They may need to work in outdoor environments, enduring various weather conditions such as heat, cold, or rain. Therefore, physical stamina is necessary to work long hours and keep up with the demands of the job.
